i forgo my beloved crispy noodles so i can get ranch dressing. i try to eat this leaf by leaf, instead of my usual stuffing it down the throat.i begin eating at 12:53 pm. I finish at 1:26PM. Still seems too fast, but on a good note, turns out, i didn't miss the crispy noodles at all.
I had 3 pcs of toblerone = 170 cals. bad!
a chewed a piece of double bubble around 2:30pm.
about 3:45, my usual "im getting hungry" stage, i had an eggo and maple syrup. the waffle is about 95 calories, i dont know how much the syrup is.
realized i only had 2 bottles of water during work time. would have been less, had i not been publicly keeping track! i forced myself to finish that last bottle. must remember to drink more!
For dinner, i made duk gook. ok, before i get into that, i should say how i was so hungry when i got home, even after the eggo. so i had some cheese doodles while food was cooking. only 23 exactly, so i could meet the 150 calories.
duk gook is a korean soup, made with rice cakes and beef. in order to properly know what i was putting into my body, i had to break out my scale. i havent used this little guy in a long time. he was 4 bucks on amazon, so worth it!!!
this soup is very easy to make. you boil water and beef together. i used 4 oz of skirt steak. you add the rice cakes. 2 oz of them in about 90 calories. i used 9 oz if rice cakes. you add eggs and seaweed and you're pretty much done. oh yeah, i also cooked a cup of rice. i had half a cup of this with my soup.
so my portions made 5 bowls. i had 2 of those bowls.
calculations:
rice, .5 cup = 120 calories (yikes, so not worth it with this dish)
4 oz beef = 175 calories, so i had 70 calories worth
9 oz rice cakes = 375 calories so i had 150 calories worth
3 eggs = 304 calories so i had 120 calories worth
lets add it all up, cheese doodles and all. my dinner was 610 calories. is that average? i have no idea. but this does make me feel guilty about eating those 3 pcs of chocolate worth nearly 200 cals! it helps that the meal was broth based and I will try to do that more often. i also only had 1 bottle of water with dinner. i still need to be conscious about drinking more, maybe before and after to keep me full.
i didnt end up working out, but i did force myself to do laundry and dishes and clean the kitchen, so i wouldnt feel guilty.
man, this diet and blogging thing is a lot of work! this better keep me motivated!
