i have another obsession. yes, i have another. cookies! baking and decorating. just experimenting for now, recipes as well as different designs and icings.

however, this was not good for my diet.
Friday and Saturday I walked for about 45 minutes each time.
i went to the outlets saturday and had a red mango with mochi and strawberries.
home, to roast a chicken for dinner and also make quinoa, something ive been into recently.

i got to use my bamboo carving cutting board, which catches all the juices. yum. i can then pour this over the chicken.

i try to roast a chicken every once in a while because not only do i get a meal out of it, i also get leftovers (plan to make chicken quesadillas tonight)
as well as a good portion of chicken broth to freeze. yummy.

Sunday was a BAD DAY.
made some marinara sauce to freeze, which starts with some hearty veggies in tomato paste:
reducing down - you can see the line on the pan...this is where the sauce started when i first started simmering. as it reduces, the flavors really trap inside the sauce.
evreytime i make this, jae can never resist eating something from it right away. so we boiled up some of my raviolis. i had about 5. it has ricotta and spinach inside.
also made some egg salad to bring for work.
also popped some popcorn, to which i added some salt and garlic powder. also for work. 1 cup = 15 cals!
i went to moms house sunday and totally blew it. too much junky food there to resist. i felt guilty so i went home and spent half an hour on the gazelle. sigh.
gotta get back on the wagon today!
