Thanksgiving Weekend

wowow this was a freaking busy arse week!!!

wednesday i had the day off, so i worked from home in the morning and then went to the store. i got there about 11AM. didnt leave till 4AM the next day!!! omg. CRAZY! dont you people know how to plan for the holidays? we got so many last minute orders. even still, it was our first holiday, and we clearly underestimated how long it would take us to finish. i cant believe the 4 of us were there till 4AM. i should have taken family and friends up on the help they offered. sigh. oh wells, heres are some pics.

thursday....jae was running on 2 hrs of sleep. i was supposed to go back to the store, but honestly, i couldnt get up. so off he went. sick and all =( i felt so guilty. so when i woke up, i got straight to work on my thanksgiving desserts. turkey cupcakes for his sister and cocount custard pie for my family.

jae picked me up after work and we went to my moms. stayed for a few hours then off to the other side of the family. fun times but we were beat. we were both in bed at 9:30 PM and slept straight through the night!

friday - off to babysit. chris had a drs appt so i watched the kids for a few hours. so fun. we played and made cookies! here are some pics.

about lunchtime, ken came home and we went to mcdonalds and then had lunch together at the store. fun! i stayed to continue to work until 3PM when we left to go get the home inspection done. it was my first time going back in a while since i last saw it. jae had gone back twice without me. so it was good for me to see everything again. esp my favorite part of the house:

the inspection took a few hours and by that time, chris ken and the family wer ein long island shopping so we met up at nathans for dinner. nathans also has an arcade now so we stayed for a few hours playing. hehe. more pics:

back to kens for a few after dinner drinks.

saturday - back to work at the store. jae left at 1PM to show the co-op and then afterwards, took my mom to buy her new car! i wish i could have been there but he sent me pics from the dealership. she finally got a brand new car! and she deserves it! shes been driving this ratty old 98 civic which finally just broke down. we convinced her to get something really nice and special for herself, for once in her life. so she did! they came back to the store to pick me up. we went home for a few hours and then we had dinner with my parents at portofino. yummers.

sunday - work again. but it was slow so i got jae to close up an hour earlier and head to long island. we went to linens n things and since they were going out of business, we took advantage of their sales. we walked away with almost $700 worth of stuff! some for other people, but mostly for us. my husband was nice enough to buy me something ive wanted for so long but never had the balls to buy.

it was almost $100 off the retail price so he bought it for me for xmas! yay!!! we are going to test this out in the co-op tomorrow. but in the new house (if we get it), it will come in so handy bc of all the hardwood floors we have.

jae also bought like 5 knives. we had a good time going through the store - twice! then back to moms for dinner.

TIRING WEEKEND to say the least. but nothing i havent had to handle before =P
