i got this idea off Oprah - cornbread crust for chicken pot pie! Ingenious. i never stock up on the pie crust, so anytime we feel like pot pie, we can never have it cuz i never have the pie crust. but now i can make it anytime! i thought it was good.

family get together - learning how to cook! my aunt came over to my apartment with everything and taught me and some cousins how to make some of her recipes.

and some lemon anchovy shrimp. i intended this meal to be carb free, but the sauce came out good so jae toasted some slices of crusty italian bread so we could dip.

yesterday we received notice that Vanessa gave birth! Woo hooo! this is all very exciting, especially since she's 2 weeks early and this came as a total surprise. I can't wait to meet and spoil the little one.
